I would imagine life with four girls can be chaotic and hectic, to say the least. But Janine and Steve make it look easy. Last month, in between cheerleading practice and a friend’s birthday party, they invited me over to their home to document a typical afternoon in their lives. With just a couple of weeks to go before Christmas, I think everyone was feeling the hustle and bustle of the holidays, but they wisely took the time to unwind for a little bit and just enjoy each other’s company.
Before the session, I asked Janine, “What do you want to remember about your family, right now?” Her response was, “We’re all so different, but we’re much more alike, and I want to capture the joy we have being together and the beauty of our one of a kind family.”
This, my friends, is what it’s all about, and I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Here are a few of my favorite images from their sweet in-home session.
I love some good old fashioned family togetherness with a board game, and who doesn’t love Jenga? It was wonderful getting to know the Birch family, and I’m so glad they welcomed my into their home for the afternoon.
If you’d like to set up an at-home session like this one, give me a shout!
